Genesis 2:10 “And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.”
The tree of life was in the midst, or center of the garden (2:9), and the river that went out of Eden certainly flowed from the same spot (see also Revelation 22:1-2). What God plants is always well-watered, not just for its own benefit, but to be a fountain of life to the world. When we become trees of the Lord's planting, trees of righteousness in Christ, God supplies us with rivers of His Spirit to make us a watershed of blessing to the world (John 7:38-39).
