Genesis 1:20 “And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.”
God already told the earth to bring forth, now he gives the waters the same command, but He adds the word abundantly. The creations that appear this time are mobile ones, and they are born for immediate action.
The moment you are reborn of water and the Spirit oh child of God, you will become His active recreation. You will have abundant, productive, dynamic life that manifests in miraculous movement. As the law of thermodynamics defeats the law of gravity in avian flight, so the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus defeats the law of sin and death in the Christian fight. What’s your soul’s status today, stagnant or vibrant? Drowning under the curse of the law, or borne up by the righteous principles of the law, ever closer to heaven?
Speaking of heaven, check out this tangent: In verse eight God called the firmament that He made heaven, and it is the space that divides the water below from the water above. In verses 17 to 20 we see the firmament again, but this time it is called the firmament of the heaven, or a heaven of the heaven. The open firmament of the heaven is where the birds fly. In verse 17 the firmament of the heaven is where God set the sun, moon and stars. So from the very beginning, Scripture expresses the idea of multiple heavens as places to fly, places to shine, places to better understand and draw nearer the Divine. Don't be earthbound. Be heavenly minded.
