Genesis 1:13, 23. Real Time is Enough Time

Genesis 1:13, 23 “And the evening and the morning were the third day.”

This concept must be important, for it is repeated for every day of the creation account (vs 5, 8, 13, 19, 23, 31). The days of Creation were specific periods of time including an evening and a morning. In other words, they were literal days, twenty-four hours of time, not symbolic, indefinite periods extending over unknown eons. Infinite, Supernatural, Divine Power and Wisdom is directly responsible not only for the design, but also for the precise organization and rapid execution of creation. God must have planned not only what He would do, but how long it would take.

Think about how much work highly skilled and practiced professionals get done in a week when they put their minds to it, let alone when they have unlimited resources and labor organized, step by step with the full collaboration of their team and clients! Now just imagine what God can do if you choose to completely cooperate with Him! However long or short your life turns out to be, it will be more than all the time He needs to finish His job in you.

The Word of God is bread from heaven. God sent it, but we must gather it, appreciate it, digest it, and live by it. These days it is increasingly scarce. Many are starving for it and don't know it because they keep feasting on bad bread that doesn't satisfy. But if we would learn to carefully gather up the fragments of the True, Heavenly Bread of Life, we would always enjoy a feast of crumbs, because even God's crumbs are miracles mighty to save (Mark 7:24-30).
